Wat de fotoreeks "Pure Sang" van Rebekka Vanderhaeghen zo poëtisch maakt, is de zoektocht naar de grens tussen het pure en het breekbare van de mens. Het lichaam staat hier centraal en de duistere kant van het leven wordt op een zeer subtiele wijze in beeld gebracht, enerzijds fragiel, anderzijds luguber. Rebekka heeft getracht een evenwicht te vinden tussen beiden.

What makes the photo series "Pure Sang" so poetic, is the search for the boundary between human purity and fragility. The body attracts the attention and the dark side of life is depicted in a very subtle manner, both fragile and lugubrious. Rebekka has sought a balance between the two of them.

Ce qui fait la série de photos "Pure Sang" si poëtique, c'est la quête de l' équilibre entre la pureté et la fragilité humaine. Le corps est placé centrale et le côté noir de la vie est présenté d'une manière très subtile, à la fois fragile et lugubre. Rebekka a essayé de trouver une équilibre entre les deux.
